HD52505UV is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) grade, known for its exceptional physical properties and durability, even under low-temperature conditions. This copolymer is produced using a gas phase process, making it ideal for injection molding applications. The polymer includes UV stabilizer additives, which enhance its resistance to sunlight and weathering, making it suitable for outdoor use.
PE 52505 comes with 0.952 (kg/cm³) density and its high load melt flow index (MFI) is 5 (190 °C/5 Kg). It is available in granular (pellet) form and contains thermal antioxidants or thermal antioxidants UV stabilizers as additives.
Good UV resistance
This polyethylene provides the ability to endure prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation without significant degradation, fading, yellowing, or other color changes. These materials can maintain their physical properties, color, and overall integrity. It also helps to preserve the mechanical features of materials, preventing them from becoming brittle or weak over time.
Good physical properties
It exhibits a good combination of different attributes such as strength, stiffness, impact resistance, durability, and processability. It allows the products to have the necessary robustness and durability. These materials can meet the diverse needs of applications without significant compromises.
High impact resistance
With an Izod impact strength of 55 J/m, this attribute is crucial for products that need to withstand mechanical stress without breaking.
High tensile strength
A tensile strength at a yield of 27 MPa ensures that the material can handle significant stress before deforming. It is important for structural applications.
Flexural modulus (1200 MPa)
This feature measures the material’s stiffness, which is important for applications requiring a rigid structure.
HD52505UV polyethylene’s properties make it a versatile material that can be utilized to produce a wide range of applications. Its excellent UV resistance and physical properties enable products made from it to withstand prolonged exposure to ultraviolet radiation without significant degradation. It is ideal for outdoor use and products that may encounter frequent sunlight exposure.
HD52505UV is used in the production of containers, buckets, and tanks that require both durability and resistance to environmental factors. In the packaging industry, HD52505UV finds extensive use in the production of caps and closures. It is specifically suited for mineral water bottles, sparkling water and carbonated soft drink containers, and various other beverage caps and tanks.
