HD52518 is a high-density polyethylene grade, also known as SABIC-M200050. It has a narrow molecular weight distribution. This polyethylene is produced by a gas phase process and is reprocessed through injection molding, extrusion coating, and roto molding. It offers a good balance between ease of processability and flowability. Plus, its mechanical properties ensure the final products’ high performance. This high-density polyethylene has 0.952 g/ml density and 18 (190 °C/2.16 Kg) MFI. It is physically formed as transparent granules (pellets). Additives to this polymer are thermal antioxidants and catalyst neutralizers.
Good flow properties
This polyethylene with lower molecular weight, has a lower melt viscosity and is less resistant to flow. It can easily melt and flow at lower temperatures during processing. Its versatility, cost-effectiveness, and higher output rates are the benefits of using this polyethylene.
Low warpage
This feature represents polyethylene’s dimensional stability with less possible deformation during processing. It usually cools evenly and doesn’t twist, bend, or shrink unevenly as it hardens. It is valuable in precision parts manufacturing.
High gloss properties
If polyethylene has high gloss properties, the final product will have a surface with a polished and lustrous appearance. This feature is mostly used to produce products with a sleek, clean, and visually appealing look.
52518 or M200050 is suitable for injecting components that require a balance between flowability and mechanical properties, such as kitchen utensils and toys. It is especially important for products that need dimension stability over time or under various environmental conditions.
Its common applications are automotive parts and consumer goods. It is also utilized for packaging sectors in industrial cases and boxes, farm products containers, and beverage crates. Additionally, HD52518 is well-suited for producing storage solutions such as pails and buckets.
Dyhochem is supplying this material to various cities in different countries. Therefore, the logistics process and cost for HD52518 may vary. Contact our professional team for detailed information and guidance, based on your location and requirements.
